Amandus Kahl GmbH & Co. KG is a mechanical and plant engineering company headquartered in Reinbek near Hamburg, Germany. The company's roots go back roughly 150 years, and it built its first pellet mill, designed as a worm extruder, in 1920. Today Amandus Kahl designs and manufactures pellet mills, pan grinder mills, crushing roller mills, expanders, extruders, hammer mills, dryers, coolers, mixers, conditioners, and fluidized bed systems, as well as complete turnkey pelleting and processing plants. Its pellet mills are available with pan grinder roller diameters from 130 to 450 mm, die diameters from 175 to 1500 mm, and drive power from 3 to 630 kW, producing pellets from 0.4 to 40 mm in diameter. The roller gap can be adjusted during operation, and the pelleting tools are quickly exchangeable. The company serves the compound feed, biomass, by-product, recycling, food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, and its Reinbek production facility is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
