AMETEK Magnetrol is a brand of AMETEK Level Measurement Solutions (AMETEK LMS), formed after AMETEK acquired Magnetrol International in 2021. The company is headquartered in Aurora, Illinois, and develops, manufactures, and distributes instruments for level and flow measurement, including guided wave radar (Eclipse), non-contact radar (Pulsar), RF admittance switches, and magnetostrictive level transmitters. For bulk solids and powder applications, AMETEK Level Measurement Solutions offers the Pulsar Model R80, an 80 GHz FMCW non-contact radar level transmitter, equipped with a solids-measurement antenna. This antenna uses a high-frequency signal, a narrow beam angle, and configuration software intended to give stable readings on low-dielectric materials and in the presence of dust, vapor, or uneven surface profiles that occur during filling or emptying of vessels. The Pulsar R80 solids antenna is aimed at industries such as mining, chemicals, food, agriculture, and building materials.
