ATEXON

ATEXON is a Finnish manufacturer of spark detection and extinguishing systems for industrial processes that handle combustible dust and powders. Founded in 2009 and based in Finland, the company developed a spark detector with a 180-degree field of view and an optional daylight filter, designed to identify sparks and embers in conveying paths such as ducts, chutes, and mechanical conveyors before they can ignite dust. The product line also includes flame detectors, overheating detectors, and smoldering-fire detectors, together with extinguishing units (EXT11, EXT12, EXT22) and control panels (AXN4, AXN18, AXN18R) that discharge water to suppress detected sparks and then reset automatically. In February 2018, Atexon Oy was acquired by IEP Technologies, a HOERBIGER Safety Solutions brand, which now distributes the Atexon-branded systems through its global network of regional offices. According to IEP Technologies, Atexon-brand spark detection and extinguishing systems have been installed in more than 2,000 industrial processes worldwide.
