Documented operating context

Piab describes a production step in which fine corn-seed coating powder had to reach coating equipment on the fourth floor. The earlier workflow relied on a mechanical elevator and manual movement of bags. The project introduced two enclosed vacuum conveying lines, together with upstream big-bag handling and dosing equipment integrated by Tech-Con Hungaria.

Company role and system boundary

Bayer Hungaria owned the production requirement and the plant interfaces. Piab supplied the named vacuum conveyors, and the system integrator assembled the remaining handling components and controls.

Those responsibilities stay separate when warranties, controls ownership, installation scope and acceptance testing are evaluated. Company identity and site context come from current official Bayer information; the project details remain attributed to Piab.

What a comparable project has to define

Seed-treatment powders combine process, housekeeping and occupational considerations. A comparable project must define the material’s bulk density, particle size, dustiness, moisture response and flow behavior, along with the route, vertical lift, required rate and receiving-machine interface. The capacities reported for Nagyigmánd do not transfer to another plant unless those conditions match.

Engineering review then covers pickup and discharge arrangements, filter cleaning, containment at connection points, cleanability, utilities, control interlocks, access and recovery after a blockage or utility loss.
