Fagus-GreCon is a family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Alfeld, Lower Saxony, Germany, founded in 1911 and now in its fifth generation of family ownership. The company develops two main product lines: preventive fire protection systems that detect sparks, embers, and hot particles within milliseconds and extinguish them before they cause a fire or dust explosion, and industrial measurement technology for quality and process control, originally introduced in 1974. Its PROTECTOR system combines spark and thermal detectors, a central control unit, and automatic extinguishing modules in a modular, decentralized architecture. The company reports more than 600 employees worldwide, operations in over 50 countries, and installations in more than 200,000 production areas. Its fire prevention equipment is used across combustible-dust environments such as wood-based panel production, food processing (flour, sugar, coffee, cocoa), recycling, chemicals, and other bulk material handling industries where spark ignition is a known explosion risk.
