IEP Technologies is a manufacturer and service provider of industrial explosion protection equipment for combustible dust and vapor hazards, with technology roots going back to 1956 through its predecessor Graviner Ltd. The company's German entity, IEP Technologies GmbH, is headquartered in Ratingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, and has been part of the HOERBIGER Safety Solutions business segment since September 2015. IEP Technologies engineers explosion suppression systems, venting devices including flameless vents, and mechanical and passive isolation equipment such as IsoFlap and IsoDisc valves, intended to stop the propagation of flame and pressure between connected process equipment. Its range also includes the Atexon spark detection and extinguishing system, which has received FM Global approval, and protection equipment for battery energy storage systems (BESS-eX vents). According to the company, products are designed to meet ATEX, NFPA 69, FM, and NEMA requirements, and the eSUPPRESSOR carries SIL2 third-party certification.
