Nilfisk Industrial Vacuums is the Industrial Vacuum Division of Nilfisk, Inc., headquartered at 740 Hemlock Road in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. The division sells and services industrial vacuum cleaners under the Nilfisk and Nilfisk CFM brand names through a direct sales force and dealer network across North America. Its range includes explosion-proof vacuum cleaners for combustible dust environments, with models rated to Class II Division 2 and CSA-certified for hazardous locations, alongside pneumatic conveyors for transporting powders and granular materials in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and food processing operations. Vacuum systems use HEPA and ULPA filtration to capture fine and hazardous dust, including flour and powder coatings, without redistributing collected material back into the work environment. In a 2011 public comment to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company, then named Nilfisk-Advance America, Inc., recommended that food and feed facilities use certified HEPA-filtered industrial vacuums for housekeeping rather than mops, brooms, or compressed air.
