Rulmeca Corporation, based in Wilmington, North Carolina, is the North American subsidiary of Rulmeca Group, a family-owned manufacturer founded in 1962 and headquartered in Bergamo, Italy. Rulmeca Group operates 22 production and sales companies and employs more than 1,200 people worldwide, serving customers in 85 countries. Rulmeca Corporation, established in 2003, supplies large motorized pulleys for bulk handling applications such as mining, aggregate and sand production, and cement manufacturing, as well as smaller motorized pulleys, also called drum motors, for food processing and unit handling tasks like package sorting and security scanning. The company sells directly to equipment manufacturers and through independent distributors and local service providers across the United States and Latin America, acting as a liaison between customers and Rulmeca's manufacturing plants in Europe.
