VEGA Grieshaber KG is headquartered in Schiltach in the Black Forest region of Germany, where the company states it has developed measurement technology for more than 60 years. The company develops and manufactures sensors for continuous level measurement, point level detection, and pressure measurement, along with signal conditioning software for integration into process control systems. For bulk solids applications such as silos, bunkers, and stockpiles, VEGA offers non-contact radar sensors, including the 80 GHz VEGAPULS 69 with a measuring range up to 120 m and an accuracy of plus or minus 5 mm, as well as vibrating level switches such as the VEGAVIB 63 for point level detection. VEGA states these sensors are designed to operate reliably in the presence of dust, filling noise, changing media properties, and abrasive bulk materials, and to handle products ranging from fine powders and ash to granulates and coarse bulk solids.
