About this video
Food plants that receive milk powder in sacks need two things from an automatic emptier: no dust and no residue. Telschig, a German manufacturer that has specialised in sack emptying since 1973, shows in this video a fully automatic plant that takes sacks from the pallet to the dissolving tank. The video is captioned in German.
According to the manufacturer, a robot depalletizes the sacks fully automatically using optical recognition. Opening and emptying are automatic and dust-free, and Telschig states that there are no product losses because the sacks are emptied of residue. The empty sacks are pressed into a film tube without raising dust, which keeps the system closed.
Telschig lists the plant as a stainless steel installation for food plants, suitable for use in potentially explosive areas, with an optional control sieve integrated downstream. The stated emptying capacity is up to 1,200 sacks per hour for powdered and granular bulk materials.
