Cleveland Cascades

Cleveland Cascades Ltd, based in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees in North East England, designs and manufactures bespoke dry bulk loading chutes for ship, rail, road vehicle, and silo loading. The company's Cascade chute uses a series of oppositely inclined cones inside a retractable cover to control the velocity and flow of dry bulk material, reducing dust emissions at the loading point to as low as 5 mg/m3. Cleveland Cascades also builds Free Fall chutes, conveyor transfer points, and tanker loading systems, handling more than 30 materials including alumina, coal, cement, grain, iron ore, potash, salt, and urea. The company traces its Cascade technology to work originally carried out at Cleveland Potash Ltd and was established as an independent business in 2004. It holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and reports more than 750 installed systems worldwide. Since February 2021, Cleveland Cascades has been part of the Swedish industrial group Lifco AB, within its Environmental Technology division.
