Emptying 25 kg sacks by hand is repetitive, dusty work, and it is where many bulk solids lines still rely on people. LaborSave describes its machine as the original fully automated answer to that step: a pallet of sacks goes in, the material comes out of a hopper, and the empty bags are compacted and ejected.
According to the manufacturer, the sequence runs in five steps. Pallets arrive by forklift or conveyor, mechanical claspers lift the top layer of sacks over cutting blades that open them without producing shavings, the sacks are shaken above the feed hopper for several seconds, the empty bags are compressed and ejected, and the empty pallet is removed for reloading. LaborSave states that the machine handles bag weights from 25 kg to 75 kg regardless of bag material, whether paper, resin, burlap or jute, and regardless of how the bags are arranged on the pallet.
The company puts emptying efficiency at more than 99.99 percent and lists six models with capacities from 400 to 1,300 sacks per hour. An optional aspiration unit seals the cutting chamber to keep raw material inside and outside dust out. LaborSave says that nearly 2,000 companies in plastics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, beverages and feed use the system.
