Pipe components for pneumatic conveying

HS Umformtechnik supplies large-radius pipe bends, pipe couplings and branch pipes for pneumatic conveying systems. The company points to high availability of tubes in all common sizes and diameters, plus quick delivery, as what sets it apart.

Stainless steel and aluminum pipe bends

The specialty is thin-walled pipe bends with a large bending radius, made for pneumatic conveying lines. They are cold-bent on CNC mandrel machines without any pleats. Aluminum pipe bends are part of the delivery program as well.

DVK-HD® and DVK 6 pipe couplings

DVK-HD® couplings are built for pressure conveying, while DVK 6 couplings are designed for suction conveying. Both share the same core design:

• no welding necessary, so installation is safe and hazard-free
• easy to dismantle — connecting pieces and pipes can be reused
• stainless steel grounding strip to ensure electrical conductivity

DVK-HD® couplings are not suitable for liquids and cover all common diameters from 60.3 mm to 206.0 mm; DVK 6 couplings cover 33.7 to 110.0 mm. Anodized versions are available on request.

HVA NIRO® wear-resistant stainless steel pipe bends

These highly wear-resistant bends have a service life 10 to 20 times longer than standard stainless steel pipe bends. That degree of wear protection is required, for example, when conveying fiberglass-reinforced plastic granules or similarly abrasive media.

Available dimensions:

• diameters from 38.0 mm to 139.7 mm, greater diameters on request
• wall thickness 1.5 mm to 5.0 mm
• radii 75 / 100 / 150 / 250 / 300 / 500 / 800 / 1000 mm

The bends suit highly abrasive products, install easily, need no stepped pipe couplings or flange connections, and are safe for use with food.

DWR double-skin pipe bends

Conveying abrasive products, particularly at high conveying speeds, wears out pipe bends. In the DWR design, the bend is encased in a second bend, creating a double-walled chamber that acts as a protective shield. Once the inner bend has worn through, the chamber fills with the conveyed product — from then on the line runs product on product, and no further wear is possible.

Glass pipe bends

For abrasive media or high flow rates, HS Umformtechnik supplies pipe bends made of 3.3 borosilicate glass with a copper grounding strip attached at the outer radius and a 200 mm leg extension. Their service life is at least 10 times that of stainless steel pipe bends.

Annealed pneumatic tube steel pipe bends

The annealed steel bends bring three practical advantages:

• no deformation of roundness when cutting bends on site
• easier extension-pipe and tiered pipe bend construction
• an appealing, visually pickled surface
